words

Sometimes people speak in words not said to one another, at one another, or for one another. Sometimes, people can be too cautious with them (like me), others are oblivious of their use.

Some words are carefully placed down, gently like pieces of glass, others slipped through carelessly like fugitives when they were not watching. Words that collide with understanding. Words that hang in limbo. No one to claim them as their own. Or tend to it. Or nourish them. They are orphan words. They wander around the mind, slap haplessly against the walls of hearts, and linger between one another long after they are spoken.
