I used to scoff at the practicality of my parents' ways but as years go by i realise that they have one of the most blessed marriages i've ever known. They reminisce. They bicker. They talk. All the time. They laugh at each other. They discuss. About what to cook for tomorrow's dinner, about Animal Planet, the futility of charity shows and the lastest neighbourhood gossip.
I remember asking how they had ended up together and they responded "Oh we met in a saloon where your Mum was the hairdresser, we were great friends for more than 15 years and we decided to give it a try after your Dad's divorce."
"As simple as that?"
"As simple as that."
How does one take the essence of a flower and put it into words of the human language? The flower speaks, it has a message, but it cannot be defined by words which only limit its expression. This is the dilemma of the language of love, it is confined by the symbolism of words created from a world unlike its own.
