Sometimes the messiah complex is my best friend. He stands next to me and whispers into my ear, "you have to make everything right."
I step in and waddle through debris that is not familiar to me, i pick up problems that don't belong to me, weighing them in my small hands and suddenly they seem quite like my own. You wouldn't walk into their house and go through their closet and tell them how to arrange the stuffs inside, but yet why do we think that we can do that with the lives of others? The reality is when i attempt to be solution oriented, i plonk myself into their shoes, never mind that they are not a good fit, i push myself into their world and tell myself that i will have to try a little harder. Over and over again.
No wonder i get frustrated easily. I have better learn from Nehemiah to be more surrendered and reliant on prayer when it comes to discipleship!
