big and small
Lately i've been feeling really carefree and joyful. The reasons for my high spirits are too many and personal to be shared here.
Occasionally though, i would feel overwhelmed in the past 2 weeks, when there seems to be a neverending tasklist to fulfill and negativity threatens to render me ineffective. When that happens, i try to breathe easy and force myself to remember that i'm not alone. God is with me whether i feel it or not. My emotions do nothing to alter the reality of His presence. My God is so big that He can measure all of the water in all of the world's oceans in the palm of one hand. He can hold all of the winds of the world in His other hand and still have room to hold all the stars and planets...and more. God is huge!
Yet, i know that my God is also small. Not to say that He is insignificant, but He is small in the sense of being able to fill my entire being with all of Himself. God, who is larger than the universe, is big enough to have a wonderful plan for my life and yet small enough to fit inside my innermost spirit to care for me.
