left behind

This world is full of awkward remainders.

At primary school, when we learned long division, i had to wrestle with the idea that things don't fit as they should. Odd little leftover bits and pieces that have to be accomodated as best as possible. I guess it's okay for this kind of thing to happen to a number, but to a person?

Maybe some people just can't fit in.
