my empire of dirt

I have been like that of a pendulum bob recently, i can be at the top of the world in one minute and sinking into an abyss the next.

Sometimes i feel so strong and invincible. Sometimes i can be so fragile and lost, flowing like water, moving weakly to fill and conform. I felt this way tonight, perhaps only tonight, because that's how it's like here - you chronicle how you feel this very moment, the elation or despair of the split second. And right now, it is a paradoxical solution that i desire: to be loved without anyone coming near.

If you talk to me, i might not recognize your words. If you blow gently on my face, it might crumble in your hands. If you touch me now, i might wilt. Like a forgotten flower, freshly plucked and left out in the field.
