surrender, trust and obey

One of my new year's resolutions is to simplify my life. Yet less than 2 weeks into 2008, i already feel encumbered by life's responsibilities and worries.

I know, sometimes i try too hard to be in control. To prepare for all eventualities, i fence myself in so tightly as to give God's will no point of entry into my world. I pray that i can push through the next 30 days with white knuckled determination, and freefall through the nights, letting my own tenuous grip slip dreamily away.

Lord, help me to be like Paul, who was content in every situation and could do everything through You who gives him strength.

And to Cousin Gwen and Tongwei: a much heartfelt thankyou to you girls! ♥
