dream

There is a dream that recurred with annoying persistence for the past few months. Not frequently but regularly enough.

In the dream, i am running in a large, deserted house with rooms constructed like a maze. Chasing me down is someone or maybe more than one person. I hadn't actually seen the pursuer but i am running through the rooms, squeezing through windows, hanging on ledges to get away from them. It is a tiring dream because there is no conclusion to it. I run and run and run till i wake up. They never catch up with me, nor do i fight them away.

One day, while discussing this with a friend, he suggested that i turn around and face the pursuer. A little far fetched, i thought, but i didn't snigger at such a proposition, instead, i agreed. I wanted to put an end to this.

A week later, i find myself being chased down again but this time i coaxed my mind in my dream to turn around and face them. Surprisingly i do not remember if there was anyone there. But i have never had that dream again for a long time.
