boom

Time check: 12:32am

I just heard this horribly loud explosion downstairs 5 minutes ago.

It was so loud that it woke up the neighbouring dogs as well. And i stay on the 11th floor. It's not just the sheer volume, it sounded so unusual that it sent shivers down my spine. It's like...a spaceship landed or something. Yes, it sounded THAT bad.

I was so disturbed that i called 999 to get them to send someone over to investigate. This is my 2nd time calling 999. The first time being 2 years ago when i saw this group of men behaving very suspiciously behind the NTUC in my neighbourhood. They looked like they were trying to open the backdoor so i reported them to the police.

Lakeside Girl is a civic-minded Singaporean.

Time to sleep. But i still can't get the sound of the explosion out of my mind. Dear Lord, what on earth was that noise?!

12:50am

A guy from Civil Defence called me again to confirm the location. So efficient. Hats off to them for working so hard. I hope the government pays them well.
