choose your life

It's time to play the game of life. Would you rather...

  • Live in bitter depression or seething anger?

  • Be dumb or ugly?

  • Be wheelchair ridden or suffer from a mental breakdown?

  • Settle for desperate lonliness or a loveless marriage?

  • Be always broke or always at work?

  • Have friends who annoy you or friends who ignore you?

  • Drown the pain with booze or mask the pain with drugs?

  • Sell your body or move back in with your elderly parents?

And eventually...

  • Die of a strange disease or commit suicide?

Tough choices.

To cheer everyone up, here are some games for the weekend:

Toshiba brings you a series of cute japanese games starring Tobby the little puppy, the kind of games you hope your boss doesn't see you playing, but are so simple and fun that they are hard to resist. Try [Fan the Balloon], [Trampoline Tobby], [Slingshot Tobby] and [Tobby On A Stick] -which you keep Tobby balanced while collecting diamonds and avoiding obstacles. A more challenging one is [Tobby and Castle] where you collect all the falling goodies, avoid the tumbling rocks and save the damsel who is climbing down.

Tork is an odd but really interesting game; in order to escape you must observe the culture and learn a new language to communicate with the inhabitants of this alien world. While the game is not very long, it may take a while to get a grasp of what to do. Observe what the natives are doing, and immitate them. Find the leader and ask for help. Note: The cursor keys are used for moving, and the mouse can be used for selecting words to speak.

Stackopolis is a wonderful little game that requires you to race with time to stack the blocks up according to the blueprint in the corner. Addictive. Link is fixed!

Dr Stanley's House is a point-and-click that has a mysterious plot with some twists and turns that is very creepy at times. The lush colored graphics provide a striking contrast to the moody atmospheric soundtrack, with several cut scenes that develop the story as you play. Note: Use the inventory by clicking on the magnifying glass first, then the item you wish to examine. Some items need to be combined by examining one, then clicking on another.
